Caregiving for your Emotionally Intense Child – September 2022
This is a VIRTUAL caregiving group, aimed to provide caregivers of young children with skills and support to optimize healthy outcomes in emotionally intense children.
This group is run by Dr. Zia Lakdawalla and involves the following:
- Didactic Teaching & Skill Building
- Support from other caregivers
- Brief consultation with Dr. Zia
- Parenting Interventions aimed to build a connection
- Parenting Interventions aimed to reduce conflict

VIRTUAL Parent group:
Wednesdays at 12 pm (EST) beginning September 28, 2022
IN-PERSON Child Group:
Mondays at 5:45 pm (EST), beginning September 26, 2022
This 10-week concurrent child and parent group is designed to help parents and children learn the skills and tools necessary to build long-term emotion regulation skills in parents. The parent and child components of this group apply theory and skills from evidence-based interventions that have been shown to be effective in regulating emotions.
