Foundations for Emotional Wellness
Dr. Zia Lakdawalla
Dr. Zia Lakdawalla operates her clinical practice with a client-centred and evidence-based approach. Her work with children, adolescents, and families is grounded in a commitment to establishing safe, nonjudgmental, and trusting relationships. With these foundations in place, she employs effective interventions, providing opportunities for sustainable change and fostering environments where children can thrive—feeling seen, understood, and valued.
One of her guiding beliefs, both in therapeutic relationships and life, is the importance of creating emotional wellness foundations. As a registered clinical psychologist, she specializes in working with children, adolescents, and parents. Dr. Lakdawalla’s objective is to help clients navigate uncomfortable feelings, improve relationships, and bolster their competency and efficacy at every new developmental stage.
Dr. Lakdawalla firmly believes that the environment surrounding children plays a critical role in their emotional regulation and resilience building. This conviction fuels her passion for parenting and early intervention. She aims to empower parents with knowledge and tools to enhance the parent-child relationship, reduce behavioural problems, and foster long-term emotional health and resilience.
