Individual Therapy
I provide individual treatment for children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. I use a collaborative approach to create a clear understanding of the clients’ needs, strengths and goals. My approach is warm and empathic, which helps clients to feel supported as we move towards agreed-upon goals. My overall goals are to help youth feel more in control of their emotions, have solid relationships and feel effective in their lives. The needs of clients are addressed using evidence-based practices including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Emotion-Focused Therapy
- Mindfulness

Parent Therapy

Group Therapy
I offer a variety of group therapy options for parents that are designed to increase knowledge on the theory and skills we know are effective for managing a variety of presenting concerns in children. Groups are an effective way to increase skills, receive support from other parents, and consult with Dr. Zia on specific concerns arising in your family.
