Dr. Zia Lakdawalla and Dr. Michele Locke are excited to offer this training course for clinicians looking to expand their clinical practice or gain new skills in working with caregivers/parents.
Clinician Training
This is a 10 week (20-hour) clinician training course for those interested in gaining and honing skills in working with parents.
Training will include:
- Theories that inform the work (attachment, EFFT, DBT)
- Assessment and Formulation
- Goals of parenting interventions
- Skills and Strategies in working effectively with parents
- How to conduct a parent/caregiver session — Style + Content
- The training will include live examples, role plays, and interactive learning!
- Included in this fee will be a Live 2 hour Q & A one month after the training is completed on April 26 from 12- 2pm.
In order to enroll you must:
- Have a degree in psychology or social work or be a member of the college of psychotherapists.
- Be a student training in one of the above fields

About Dr. Zia Lakdawalla & Dr. Michele Locke
Drs. Zia Lakdawalla and Michele Locke are experienced child and adolescent psychologists, who have been practicing in the field for over 15 years. They are both the founders and directors of their own thriving practices in the Toronto area, providing support for caregivers, children, and youth, through individual and group interventions. Drs. Zia and Michele, are passionate about children’s mental health, knowledge dissemination and are experienced in training and supervising members of the clinical community.
