Registered Social Worker

Raising kids today is tough, and supporting teens through school, screens, and stress can feel even tougher. Parenting is one of the hardest jobs there is, but families don’t have to do it alone.

Marcy McGaw is a registered social worker who believes in being part of the village that helps families thrive. She works alongside parents and adolescents as they navigate the pressures of modern life, including school stress, social media, mental health challenges, and family changes. Her passion is helping families discover their strengths, reconnect with their values, build resilience, and create lasting support systems.

Marcy holds a Master’s degree in social work and brings more than 25 years of experience providing individual and family counselling for adolescents and parents. She draws on approaches such as Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Family Systems Therapy (FST), adapting these strategies to meet the realities of everyday life. Known for her ability to build strong, trusting relationships, she offers evidence based treatment that is tailored to the unique needs of each client and family.
