Adolescent and Teen Therapy (Ages 11–19)
When Should I Consider Adolescent and Teen Therapy ?
Adolescence is a time of major growth and transition. Many teens experience anxiety, depression, identity confusion, relationship struggles, or emotional regulation issues. If these challenges begin to affect daily life—in school, at home, or socially—it may be time to seek adolescent and teen therapy for added guidance.
At FFEW, we understand the unique stressors teens face today. Our team creates a supportive space for adolescents to feel heard, build coping skills, and develop the emotional tools they need to thrive.

Parent Involvement Still Matters
While therapy is focused on the teen, we know that parents are critical supports. We often offer additional guidance for parents to:
- Better understand the challenges their teen is facing
- Learn current research and psychological theory relevant to adolescent issues
- Apply evidence-based strategies that support regulation and connection

- dialectical behavior therapy for adolescents – for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and relationships
- trauma therapy for adolescents – for those dealing with past harm, grief, or high stress
- engaging adolescents in therapy – using developmentally appropriate tools and collaboration
- therapy interventions and techniques for teens – tailored to support coping and resilience
