Courageous & Connected:
Parenting Emotionally Intense Teens

Virtual Group Therapy

Parenting a teen with big emotions can feel like navigating a minefield. One minute they’re fine, the next they’re shutting down, melting down, or pushing you away. You’re trying your best, but it’s isolating and exhausting—and you may wonder if anyone else really understands.

This ongoing virtual group therapy program is designed to help.

“Courageous & Connected” offers a supportive, structured space where parents of teens ages 13 to 18 can find community, build skills, and rediscover confidence in their parenting journey.

What This Parenting Group Offers

Led by Marcy McGaw, RSW, this group creates a place where you’re not alone. Through connection with other parents, evidence-based strategies, and compassionate guidance, you’ll learn how to better understand your teen’s emotional world, respond more effectively during conflict, and strengthen the bond between you—even when it feels strained.

We focus on two essential goals:

1) Connection & Community: Learn to break through the isolation the isolation you may be feeling as a parent and between you and your teen. Meet other parents who truly get it, share experiences, and build lasting support networks.

2) Skills & Resilience: Learn practical, evidence-based tools to help regulate your own emotions, communicate effectively with your teen, and foster emotional resilience in your family.
