Our Approach
At Foundations for Emotional Wellness (FFEW) we treat child and teen mental health as a family story, not a solo chapter—pairing child‑focused therapy with active parent coaching so gains last at home and at school.
What guides us
- Whole‑family lens – Children do best when the adults around them have clear tools and support. Parent involvement is built into every plan.
- Evidence‑based care – We draw from CBT, DBT, SPACE, and other proven methods, then tailor them to age and stage.
- Attachment & development – Grounded in attachment theory, early‑childhood education, and emotional intelligence, we meet kids where they are and grow skills step by step.
- Early intervention – Acting early prevents small worries from becoming lifelong struggles; prevention and resilience thread through all our programs.
How we work
- Listen & match – A brief phone consult pairs your family with the right clinician and service (individual, group, or parent coaching).
- Set shared goals – Together we outline clear, do‑able targets—less conflict, smoother mornings, happier mood.
- Practice & integrate – Skills are rehearsed in sessions, then woven into daily routines with parent support.
- Review & adapt – Progress is tracked; we pivot methods or intensity as your child’s needs change.
