why choose parent groups

Why Choose Parent Group Therapy at FFEW?

Parenting is deeply rewarding. But it can also feel isolating. Many parents aren’t sure how to manage their child’s big feelings, or how to stay grounded themselves through tough moments.

On top of that, the parenting advice out there is often confusing or contradictory.

Our group therapy for parents offers a space to step back, reflect, and learn in the company of others who get it. Each session blends emotional support, expert guidance, and practical tools that actually fit into daily life.

We draw from real clinical experience and research-backed strategies—including Triple P parenting and CBT-informed coaching—so you can approach parenting with more calm and confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to common questions parents ask about this service—so you can feel more confident about what to expect.

Do I have to share personal details in group?

Only if you feel comfortable. Many parents find it helpful to share, but it’s okay to listen quietly too. You’ll never be pressured.

How are these different from parenting classes?

These are therapy groups, not just classes. They combine psychoeducation with emotional support and real-time discussion guided by a therapist.

Are these groups for moms only?

No. We welcome all parents and caregivers, including single mothers, fathers, and co-parents.

What if I can’t attend every session?

We understand life happens. Let us know in advance and we’ll help you stay caught up on group content.

Can I do group and individual therapy at the same time?

Absolutely. Many parents benefit from combining both. We’re happy to help you create the right mix.
