When you invest in therapy at FFEW, you’re not just paying for time in a session. You’re paying for a team that’s deeply committed to the quality of care your family receives. Here’s what goes on behind the scenes:

Weekly individual supervision. Every clinician meets with Dr. Zia weekly to review client progress, refine treatment plans, and ensure your child is getting the most effective care possible.

Bi-monthly team supervision. Our full team collaborates regularly, reviewing cases together and learning from each other’s expertise. This means your clinician has the collective knowledge of the entire team behind them.

Monthly expert training. We bring in leading experts in children’s mental health to train our team on the latest evidence-based practices. This keeps our approaches current and grounded in what the research shows actually works.

Intensive yearly training. Beyond monthly sessions, our team commits to deeper professional development each year, staying sharp on what’s current and effective in children’s mental health.

This investment in our team directly translates into better outcomes for your child and your family.

Insurance Coverage

Most of our services are covered by extended health benefits. If your plan includes coverage for registered psychologists, registered psychotherapists, or registered social workers, you’re likely covered.

Here’s what to check on your plan:

Does your plan cover psychology, psychotherapy, or social work services? Most employer-sponsored and private plans do.

What is your annual coverage limit? Plans typically cover between $500 and $5,000 per year per family member, depending on your employer and plan level.

Does your plan require a referral? Most insurance companies do not require a physician referral to see a psychologist or therapist, but some do. It’s worth confirming before your first session.

We provide receipts after each session that you can submit directly to your insurance provider. If you have questions about whether your specific plan covers our services, feel free to contact us and we’re happy to help you figure it out.

Affordable Options for Families

We know that therapy is a significant investment, and we want to make sure families who need support can access it. Here are a few ways we work to make care more accessible:

Group therapy programs. Our group programs offer evidence-based support at a lower per-session cost than individual therapy. Groups aren’t just a more affordable option, they’re a genuinely effective approach. Children benefit from peer connection and shared learning, and parents gain support from other families navigating similar challenges. Many families find that group therapy is exactly the right fit for where they are.

Sliding fee scale. We offer a limited number of sliding fee spots for families who need financial flexibility. Contact us for details about availability and eligibility.

Student therapists. Working with one of our student therapists is another way to access quality care at a reduced rate. Our students use the same evidence-based approaches as the rest of the team and receive close weekly supervision from Dr. Zia.
